I deal with alot of people, and I have made it my life's work to do so. So I happen to know that the general consensus of my customers is that they are tired of "upgrades." The computerized world seems to be on the fast track... and it is almost passing us by before we can get used to what we have. I am here to tell you, do NOT despair! I hear people tell me all the time... "Why fix it if it is not broken?"
Well, the computer technicians out there are not making it their mission in life to make life on the computer more difficult for you. As a matter of fact, they spend all their time doing customer surveys and trial software releases specificially to make your computer experience much more enjoyable and user friendly. UNFORTUNATELY, when all is said and done, and the final copy of the produced software is out on the market... it takes much more "hardware power" to make the software work. Thats why we need upgrades. If your computer is slow, chances are you have upgraded software wise, but not hardware wise. The technological market forces us into this loop, it is the price we pay for the convinience of being able to have all the advances that technology gives us.
Now, that being said, I know that Microsoft customers are a little leery of rushing out there to buy the latest copy of Windows 7, but I wanted to let you know that I have done some research and here is what I have found to help put your mind at ease...
- When you buy Windows 7, you get both the 32 bit software and the 64 bit software... to help with installation mistakes from the Vista release.
- Windows 7 BETA (the testing version) was tested for a longer period, and with a record breaking ammount of testers, trying to eliminate a rushed timeline release, and to have less bug fixes with the first sellable release. More people tested the software with this Windows version than ever before in the history of Microsoft Operating Systems.
- The new version UPGRADE (from Vista) is alot cheaper than the average consumer expected, depending on retailer, could be as little as $120.00
- The new version's hardware requirements are not that much different than with Vista, so if Vista runs great on your computer, Windows 7 should run great too.
Windows 7 is not the only thing Microsoft is working hard on... they have the new release of Office set for the first half of 2010... so be prepared for yet another change.
